The phone literally rang of the hook this morning as the RITA-award nominees were being announced.

GRAFFITI GIRL–double nominee for Best First Novel and Best Young Adult

*LEAVING PARADISE –Best Young Adult

*please note that NLA didn’t actually sell this book but Simone is now one of our authors so we are super excited all the same!

Congratulations to all, but especially to one of my favorite writers, Hank Phillippi Ryan. I LOVE the Charlie McNally series and am so pleased to know everyone else does too. What a thrill.

For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to say THANK YOU for representing Linnea Sinclair. I bought one of her books back in January because I’d seen that you represented her and absolutely loved it. I then ran back to the book store and devoured every other book she’s written. Games of Command is the only one my B&N stores don’t have in stock (I’ve checked on several trips) so looks like I’ll be ordering it on-line. Can’t wait to read it.

Dang! Congrats to Linnea and all the rest. So, when is the RWA going to put the nominees on-line?

I’m not into romance, but Linnea’s cross-overs are good for the non-romance reader, too.

Thanks, Marva, Brim and all! I was literally shaking after the call this morning. I didn’t expect it. Science Fiction has never been a top draw in romance and to final again was completely unexpected.

Congrats to my sister-NLA-ers! I’ll see you all in San Fran. I’ve spent the entire day trying to figure out flights. San Fran is one of those ‘you can’t get there from here’ places when you live in SW Florida. 😉 ~Linnea

I also want to congratulate my fellow NLA RITA nominees. San Francisco is going to be fun this year, for sure, when they announce the finalists. I am so happy that Kristin and I got to work on my new book coming out in early 2009!

Congrats on all the award nominations! I haven’t read any of these yet but I found Jennifer O’Connell and Shanna Swendson from your blog so maybe I’ll check out some of these authors too. I like the new pictures but I especially liked reading the bios since I graduated from Northwestern and I work at Purdue!

The new pics are great, and congratulations to all your RITA finalists, but especially Linnea Sinclair–a fellow survivor of the publisher who shall not be named.

Hey-congratulations to all..it’s very exciting. And very–inspirational, actually.

But hey, does this mean Kelly, Linnea and Simone and I can dump Gatorade on Kristin’s head at the convention?

(And you too, Allison, since you posted such a lovely comment without even mentioning that you have two nominations yourself!)
