What’s playing on the XM or iPod right now? WHATAYA WANT FROM ME by Adam Lambert
I’m so unhip, I’m just now discovering the totally hip video book reviewer Ron Charles for the Washington Post. Absolutely hilarious!
Enjoy! And be sure to check out his other video reviews.

OMG I love Totally Hip Video Book Reviews so much. The Freedom one is my favorite. Whenever I think of Franzen I still hear “The cover of Time Magazine!” in Ron Charles’ voice.
Very nice. 🙂
LOL, love the video. 🙂 Rachelle Gardner of WordServe Literary recommended your blog, and I have been thoroughly enjoying it. (I am currently interning for Rachelle :)).
Thanks for sharing!

‘What does it mean, Pa?’ Very funny very clever. love it. i might even read Freedom as a result…jx 😉
Not related to this particular post, but I’m curious to know what you think of this e-book news from HarperCollins: http://yro.slashdot.org/story/11/02/26/005219/HarperCollins-Wants-Library-EBooks-to-Self-Destruct-After-26-Loans?from=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Slashdot%2Fslashdot+%28Slashdot%29&utm_content=Twitter
Uh…
This is what we get when a critic tries to be creative. Funny, but I couldn’t help but notice the irony of very articulate arguments delivered in a style that is nearly impossible to critique. And isn’t this what all critics want? A shield from behind which they can poke their swords?
Farces like these, as fun as they are, remind me just how much better and more composed the work is than the critic who offers it his judgment.
Boring I would rather hear from that scum sucking scam agent Miss Snark any day. This guy likes to hear himself talk and is much too pretentious and verbose. This video is for dweebs!
A part of me wants to agree that this is an extreme way to get people interested in reading books — but if extreme (and extremely funny) is what it takes, I’m on board. I thought the reviews were a total riot and even discovered an author I’d not heard of whose books I most definitely want to read. 🙂
