Beyond The Call Of Agent Duty—Part II

STATUS: I think I need another weekend to recover from my weekend. Grin.

What’s playing on the iPod right now? ROUTE 66 by Natalie Cole

Really? Could I blog about anything else today? Enjoy!

So you can track us, I’m wearing a white visor and Simone has on a blue bandanna.

Watch the chick in front of Simone. She ends up falling into the boat. Better than the alternative I have to say.

Lesson of the day: tuck you feet securely while in the raft.

Also, we are going through two sets of the rapids. In the second set, look at the rock to the right of the picture.

My personal favorite is the shot where pretty much everyone in the boat disappears in the spray.

Haha–these photos are awesome! And a couple are just begging for some captions to accompany them. 🙂 Looks like you two had a wonderful time!

You definitely went beyond the call of duty. It looks like you had a blast! I bet the water was refreshing! (That’s code for frigid)

I’m so jealous. I mean, I’m right here, just a few hours away from some serious whitewater rafting, and yet I just can’t seem to get there. Oh well. 🙂

OMG, I’m SO jealous! It looks like you guys had a blast. I’ve always wanted to go. Even my kids have gone (with my parents, no less!) but not me. Do you feel sorry for me? Yeah, well you should. I’ll have to add this to my sooner rather than later “to do” list.

I’ve never been white-water rafting and these photos don’t help me decide if I want to or if I’m terrified to do it. I hope to get the chance someday, but I’m sure I’ll scream the entire time.

    Glad you had fun!

Good for you two hanging in. I did a white water rafting trip in the Rockies and it was terrifying to me. Luckily the guide took pity on me and tucked me in near the front of the boat and I never got thrown out. My feet were very tucked in and I held on very hard….

Hooray! Looks like fun. So much better than my first time, when i fell out, got sucked under the raft for a space in time, and made very painful acquaintance with some rocks on the way down the rapids… But, hey, that’s what lifejackets are for. 🙂 [You can see why i saved comment on rafting until AFTER you’d done it.]

No helmets??? (I’d probably insist on wearing an entire coat of armor, I’m such a chicken.)

You definitely win the Cool Agent award. Thankfully, as an editor, the writing is after the fact, and the insanity has already happened.

What am I saying? The insanity is just beginning.

Awesome pictures. My husband and I just got home from white water rafting on the Main Salmon in Idaho (class III and IV rapids.) It was our first time and it was incredible. I highly recommend it.

Now that I’ve done it, I can write it into my main character’s activities, since she is quite the daredevil.

Count me among the jealous. I miss whitewater rafting. I haven’t done it since I moved down to Florida and stopped working at a summer camp.
